Join the Museum and the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve on Friday, March 16th, 2018 for a hands-on educational program!
Did you know? In 2008, the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) deemed the snapping turtle to be of Special Concern. This does not mean that the species is endangered or threatened, but instead, that it may become an endangered or threatened species due to an increase in notable threats, such as vehicles and predators.
The knowledgeable staff at the Biosphere will be hosting their Mean & Nasties program which introduces children to some of our not so-scary animal friends. This indoor program is an hour in length and is best suited for children between the ages of 6 -12. We ask that you call the Museum at 705-746-5365 to reserve your spot as seating is limited to 30 children. If possible, we ask that parents attend the educational program with their children.
Where: Museum on Tower Hill (17 George St.)
When: Friday, March 16th, 2018 from 10 am 11 am
Price: Free
Age Range: 6 12 years
