This summer, the Museum’s Lions Room will be the home of our newest exhibition Our Community: A History of the West Parry Sound District.

This exhibition explores the history of the District, and how past events have shaped and developed our community. Go back in time and discover the different aspects of Parry Sound area history, such as Indigenous culture, Shipping, Farming, Recreation, and of course, a bit about our explosive past.

With the E. Roy Smith Gallery under renovations, we wanted to continue to teach you the West Parry Sound District’s heritage. And what better way than to recreate the gallery! We hope you enjoy our reimagined history of the area.
