Archivist, Blythe Koreen, with the Archives of Ontario will present Tracing Your Family History Using the Archives of Ontarios Collection.
Presenter Bio: Blythe Koreen is a Reference Archivist at the Archives of Ontario, and works to help researchers navigate and access the institutions vast holdings. She has worked at the Archives of Ontario for seven years of her twenty-year career. Blythe has enjoyed past positions at the Archives of Manitoba, the Hudsons Bay Company Archives, Library and Archives Canada, The Rooms Provincial Archives of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Blythe holds a BA in Art History and Classics and MA Archival Studies from the University of Manitoba, as well as diplomas in records management and privacy legislation from the University of Toronto.
Tracing Your Family History This webinar will describe the most popular records and resources from the Archives of Ontarios collections for conducting family history research. Our presenter will provide information about how to access these collections, including how to access them where digitized versions of the records exist. You will also learn search tips for navigating the Archives of Ontarios website and databases to find relevant genealogical records, along with tips about how to start family history research and advice about what to consider when organizing ancestral information.
