Program Coordinator

The Museum on Tower Hill is a small local museum with a great team of staff and volunteers. It is the perfect environment for an individual just starting on a new career path.

The Position

The purpose of the Program Coordinator Intern is to assist with the implementation of the programming plan for 2019.


Responsibilities held by the Program Coordinator are:

·         To assist with the development of an operation plan by participating in a planning session that will include staff, volunteers and board members.

·         Implement the programming elements of the operation by:

o   Coordinating with other staff in the development of marketing and promotional materials.

o   Developing educational content for identified programming objectives

o   Working with community members to develop programs that reflect the needs and values of the community

·         Conduct evaluation processes and report back on findings.

Educational Background

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate of a post-secondary school with a degree in education or tourism. Graduates with an educational background or museum studies will also be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

·         University and college graduates who have graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. Candidates must be graduates of post-secondary degree or diploma programs.

·         First time employment within field of study.

·         Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
