Communications Officer

Work as a communications officer at a museum with plenty of learning opportunities and a friendly work environment.

Museum on Tower Hill is a small local museum with a great team of staff and volunteers. The Museum offers a variety of services to the community including exhibitions, programming, family history research and facility rentals. It is the perfect environment for an individual just starting on a new career path.

The Position

We are looking for a full time Communications Coordinator to help grow our membership program and aid with marketing activities. 

Responsibilities held by the Communications Officer are: 

  • Development of marketing materials for exhibitions, programs and special events,
  • Producing the monthly E-Newsletter,
  • Oversight of the Annual Pass program,
  • Implementation of the Social Media Plan,
  • Special Projects as they arise.

Educational Background
The ideal candidate will be recent graduate of post-secondary university with a degree in communications or marketing, Graduates with a journalism or graphic design degree will also be considered.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • University and college graduates who have graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. Candidates must be graduates of post-secondary degree or diploma programs. 
  • First time employment within field of study.
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
