Join us in welcoming, Roberto Lima and Astoria Felix

This presentation will guide you through a historical overview of the Ontario court system and their archival records. The goal is to provide a starting point for researching court records.  At the end of the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

 

Participants will:

 

  • Learn how court records are arranged at the Archives of Ontario
  • Understand the court system and how it relates to your genealogical research
  • Recieve practical tips and resources for conducting research 

Presenters

Astoria Felix holds a Masters of Information Studies from McGill University, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Art History from the University of Toronto. Currently an Information and Privacy Analyst at the Archives of Ontario, her previous roles involved work as an information professional in both the public and private sector, with experience in law and archives.

 

Roberto Lima holds a Master of Information Science from Université de Montréal. Serving now as a reference Archivist for the Archives of Ontario, his previous experiences include roles in the legal, heritage and education industries.
