Phase Two of the Community Remembrance Project is put on display. The exhibit will focus on local personalities who fought in WWII and will track Parry Sound High School's "Canada and the World Wars" trip to Europe.

The Community Remembrance Project began in October of 2013 and is in partnership with the Parry Sound High School. The Project is designed for high school students to get involved with their local history by ensuring that the fallen soldiers of the area who fought in the World Wars are never forgotten. The research that High School students conduct through archival research and interviews with fallen soldier's family members, coupled with donations and loans from individuals of the community, bring service members to life. These soldiers become much more than names on a monument; they become real individuals who will always be remembered for what they sacrificed for our freedom.
This is an ongoing project that will eventually chronicle the lives of all the local service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of their family and their country.
